It is that time of the year again when we all make our way down to the Bathurst show grounds in the Eastern Cape for Ox-braai. If you are unfamiliar with what Ox-braai is, hopefully this post will help explain things to you a little better.
Oxbraai has been around since the early eighties with 1000 people having a braai on a beach in Kleinemond. Since then it has grown considerably and this year it is expected to house over 10 000 people! 15 tons of wood, 26 spit braais and 2 tons of meat is what this attraction is all about. Apart from the amazing braai, people are invited to participate in the responsible yet debaucherous ways of drinking and having an absolute blast!
Ox-braai promotes a safe drinking environment and have paramedics and police patrolling the grounds at all times. If you in the mood to get loose for one last time before the new year then this is where to do it!
R100 gets you in and there is also a cover charge of R100 per car. This amount includes a parking spot, dance floors and a meal for the evening.
